Ortovero, 09 September 2020. The promotion and enhancement activities started by Vite in Riviera last April. The lockdown has put the winegrowers and olive growers of the area to the test and the network of 27 companies in the provinces of Savona and Imperia has decided to invest time, resources and professionalism to promote and support them in a tourist season that is certainly in decline compared to past years.

Aware of the fact that in critical moments it is essential to communicate and be visible, the producers of Vite in Riviera they united to fight, at least in part, this difficult moment.

Supported by accredited professionals in the sector, Vite in Riviera has created a rich marketing program, promoting Social Media Marketing, Public Relations and Press Office activities.

In full compliance with the health regulations in force, six Press Tours were organized which involved the companies in the network and the western Ligurian territory. The journalists visited the oil mills and wineries and participated in the technical tastings of wines and oils organized at the Regional Enoteca of Ortovero.

Some of the most influential newspapers in the food and wine, wine tourism and lifestyle panorama have been selected. To name a few: Doctor Wine, James, Wine Surf, Healthy Taste, Wine Meridian, Lavinium, Vinit, I Viaggi del Sole24Ore, VinoNews24.

These activities immediately led to the publication of dedicated articles and dissemination on Social Networks. The experience lived by journalists, thanks to the quality of the wines and oils and the availability of the producers involved, has contributed, and will continue in the coming months, to strengthen the image of Western Liguria at a national level. In autumn, three Press Tours and the Riviereccenza food and wine festival are already scheduled, which will see the participation of three starred chefs of international fame, moved due to COVID from last May to next November.

In addition, training activities dedicated to hospitality and marketing for companies on the Net will be added.

Social profiles of Vite in Riviera have grown thanks to the publication of information relating to the territory, its natural and historical beauties, the activities to be carried out and the Vite in Riviera. Each content on Facebook has reached an average of 3500 people with peaks over 7000. There are about 2500 followers, growing day by day. Since the first of June 57.000 people have viewed the contents of the Facebook page of Vite in Rivera, about 90% come from Italy (mostly from large cities such as Milan, Rome and Turin and from the Ligurian provinces) and 10% from abroad (France, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Belgium, China, Denmark and Brazil).

On Instagram there are 1360 followers, being the most recent profile. 79% are Italian while the remainder comes from the USA, Brazil, UK and France. About 16000 views were achieved on shared content with an average of 500 people reached for each post from June to August.

 

Born in October 2015 with the signing of the Network Agreement, Vite in Riviera brings together 27 wineries and olive oil companies, all located between the provinces of Savona and Imperia, with the aim of disseminating and promoting the Ligurian wines and oils of the Riviera di Ponente.
