Quiliano

Quiliano, a unique, unrepeatable backdrop, if referred to Liguria, even cheeky: woods, rich and generous waterways, waterfalls, shadows and an ecosystem of high environmental quality: products sold out already on the tree such as apricot, in a scenario with a green beyond comparison, in the middle stand out cover vineyards: rigorous as musical scores, combed like debutantes, in which in the sun, rich and generous bunches reverberate. The Granaccia it was born here, and here it is enhanced in its natural and historical “Terroir”. Quiliano, a land to discover on the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, with a balcony overlooking the sea.

Roccavignale

The Municipality of Roccavignale is located in the Alta Val Bormida, on the border with the Province of Cuneo.

The town has an area of ​​17,46 square kilometers and is made up of four hamlets: Strada, Camponuovo, Pianissolo and Valzemola.

The first inhabited village rose in the valley below the Castle where a dolmen from the Neolithic era still exists today; the first historical references date back to 998 AD. In the fourteenth century, following an exceptional flood of the river Zemola, the ancient village was abandoned and rebuilt in the nearby hills.

Currently the resident population is 770 inhabitants, the altitude is between 420 and 964 meters above sea level and the territory is made up of 75% woods.

In recent years, the municipality has focused a lot on tourism by creating interesting initiatives such as the "Giant Bench", the Panoramic Heart, the Dolmens' life trail, the lakes for sport fishing, the Rokkafest, the hiking trails with beautiful caves and will soon be inaugurated the first ZipLine in Liguria.

Roccavignale in recent years has also become a reference in the food and wine sector by baptizing three Municipal Designations (stuffed onions, acacia honey and Fazzino) and producing again its precious wine from which it even took its name.

The famous and ancient "pilgrim's path" that united the Independent Maritime Republic of Noli with the Marquisate of Finale: the panoramic "balconies" still testify today to its glorious and historical past, crossing caves and caverns, rich Mediterranean vegetation and further churches.

The island of Bergeggi

Called by the ancient Romans "ancient insula liguriae", the island of Bergeggi is a jewel in the middle of the sea just 250 meters from the coast, and is a Marine Protected Area (AMP) therefore visits and excursions are exclusively guided, reservations are recommended. and are either on foot or by canoe starting from the Ligurian coast.

The Via Romana Julia Augusta

In this route you will find the right balance between history and nature, as it retraces some sections of the ancient and Roman Via Julia Augusta that connects the town of Cervo to Alassio. Mediterranean scrub, medieval architecture and breathtaking views are the keywords of this unique route.

The witches of Triora

Triora is known as the "town of witches" and is hidden in the valleys of the Imperia area. This small medieval village of about 400 souls is famous throughout Italy for having given rise to the worst witch hunt of all time back in 1587. A path for those who love nature and want to enjoy a unique view overlooking the villages below.

The Calandre beach

This itinerary is an interesting and particular experience given that it is one of the few to combine the blue sea with the rocky coast in western Liguria. The route starts from the Roja river in the city of Ventimiglia, passes through the ancient port area to then arrive at the amazing Calandre beach.

The cycle-pedestrian path of the Coastal Park

Difficulty: easy

Journey time: 5 hours

Best season: all year round

One of the longest cycle and pedestrian tracks in the whole Mediterranean, it winds for 24 km from San Lorenzo al Mare to Ospedaletti. The whole itinerary is easy and flat, with several rest areas, entry and exit points, accesses to the beautiful bays and beaches, refreshment points and viewpoints. It is an excellent opportunity for those who want to relax with a walk, a bike ride or jogging, enjoying the panorama and the climate of the Riviera di Ponente.
