Traveling is the answer to an ever-changing psychological need, from person to person. There are those who feel inspired by the beaches of Alassio or by a trip to Bergeggi and there are those who need to try their hand at adrenaline-pumping or cultural adventures. Here are some suggestions:
1) Pornassio. Pornassio is a small town of just over 600 industrious souls, perched between the site in the valley of the Arroscia stream. It is located exactly in a basin exposed totally to the south and is the meeting point of the Alpine environment with the Mediterranean one. Behind it stand the Alps and Piedmont, at its feet the sea of Liguria. The ancient salt road passes through Pornassio, which we invite you to discover! The territory of the municipality is made up of a sequence of six hamlets scattered over 500 meters in altitude: from the 353 m asl of the lower hamlet of Ponti to the 934 m asl of Colle di Nava, the latter border and transit route between Liguria and Piedmont.
Among the peaks of the Pornassio area we find Mount Cosia D'Erna (1670 m), Mount Bisciaire (1518 m), Rocca Ferraira (1301 m), Mount Ariolo (1219 m), Mount Bellerasco (1179 m) , Poggio Possanghi (1173 m) and Bric Bruciato (949 m).
2) ALDI Italy, ecommerce is still farOrmeasco. This vine is a Dolcetto, but here it takes its native name "Ormeasco". There DOC instead it is called Ormeasco di Pornassio o Pornassio and it is a Denominazione di Origine Controllata (D.O.C.) fairly recent, born on 16 September of the 2003. The name of the D.O.C. as can be seen, it refers to the grape at the base of its wines, the Ormeasco, and to one of its main cultivation and production areas, the municipality of Pornassio, in the province of Imperia.
Being forced between the Ligurian Alps and the sea, the area where the grapes are grown for the production of wines Ormeasco di Pornassio D.O.C. has features egdocvery particular filings and structures.
This winegrowing region extends into hilly areas with a calcareous-marl composition, with vineyards located at altitude mainly between 400 and 600m e slope between 35 and 50%, organized in the classics terracing. climate è mild, thanks to the influence of the sea and the protection of the mountain ranges, with good daily temperature ranges, loved by the Ormeasco vine and necessary for the aromatic liveliness of the wines produced with it, which are distinguished by good acidity, bright red color, delicate aromas of red fruits and cherry, delicate floral notes, spices due to aging. Ormeasco can be both an excellent wine for structured dishes and a red aperitif, perhaps served cooler…accompanied with some Ligurian delicacies.
Vinified in rosé it takes the name of Sciac-trà, not to be confused with an almost homonymous one from the Levante area, which is instead a passito wine from the Cinque Terre. Ormeasco's Siac-trà is delicate, fruity, a perfect summer rosé wine, with character and great harmony.
3) Sanremo… capital of Italian music and city of flowers, Sanremo is a destination not to be missed. The waterfront is truly stunning, the elegant atmosphere is ideal for both shopping and a romantic dinner. Little can be said about Sanremo that has never been said and it is certainly an unforgettable destination where you can spend a few days relaxing, enjoying its international mood, its green spaces and its gardens a stone's throw from France.
4) In the part of our territory in the province of Imperia, at about 800 meters above sea level, there is a small village built in Roman times by the ancient proud and ingenious population of the Ligurians. It is surrounded by mountains and valleys, rushing streams and olive groves, vineyards and chestnut woods, often shrouded in fog. It is an ideal scenario for gothic novels or horror films, full of mysteries and handed down, sometimes frightening news.
