The next edition of Granaccia & Reds of Liguria it will be an opportunity to celebrate an important anniversary together with Quiliano: on the day of San Martino the characteristic meeting will take place to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the foundation of the "Brotherhood ofOrmeasco di Pornassio", born on 11 November 1998.
The Confraternity is made up of food and wine enthusiasts, wine producers and local administrators, who meet periodically to renew their bond with the deepest traditions of the Ligurian territory and promote, protect and spread the culture of this wonderful "red D.O.C.”, Also and above all outside the production area.
The Ormeasco D.O.C. has its roots in the uncontaminated land Upper Arroscia Valley, the last strip of Liguria, passage towards Piedmont: a unique microclimate, thanks to the mountains that protect this territory from the cold air coming from the North. It is a red wine whose vines go up to 800 meters, an altitude usually almost impassable for the cultivation of the vine, which allows the grapes to mature slowly and gives the wine an unmistakable aroma. Ormeasco is also a rather versatile vine, because it can be vinified "in white" to obtain rosé Sciac-trà (literally "crush and extract"), or in classic red to obtain its best known types: theOrmeasco di Pornassio andOrmeasco Superiore.

The most historical, however, is certainly William, which is located in the fifteenth-century Castle of Pornassio. His Ormeasco di Pornassio 2016 was recently included in the Top hundred 2018 best wines of Italy from Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti, during the just passed edition of Golosaria Milan.
