Historical notes

Probably introduced in the western Riviera in the fifteenth century, from France, Corsica and Sardinia. Certainly registered in the early 400s and today one of the most cultivated vines in Liguria, between the provinces of Imperia and Savona.

Bunch

medium, conical, winged, sometimes with an elongated wing, medium compact. Medium-large berry, greenish-yellow color, even golden in case of light over-ripening, medium-thin skin. Harvest in the first 2 decades of September.

Winemaking

in white, vermentino gives excellent aromatic dry wines, of beautiful pale yellow color, sometimes with greenish reflections. The nose bouquet is very intense and fruity with pear in evidence, sage and elderberry. The taste is fruity, well balanced, fresh and savory.
