NO AROMATIC WINE VARIETY WITH DARK BERRY

  • Synonyms: Grenache, Alicante, Cannonau
  • History: Originally from Spain, it was introduced in Italy from the regions of Roussillon and Sardegna. We know about its cultivation in Ventimiglia at the beginning of the ‘800. Today it is cultivated mainly in the province of Savona and in the eastern part of the Imperia province.
  • Grape: pyramidal, sometimes winged, long about 15/18 cm. Medium berry, blue / black color, thick peel. Maturation between the second and third week of September.
  • Vinification:: red. You get wines of a beautiful ruby color with rosea fingernail, scent of rose and violet, warm, round taste, with a great structure.
  • Domination: DOC Riviera Ligure di Ponente, IGT Colline Savonesi
