The Bio Vio Organic Farm is located in the hamlet of Bastia, in the hinterland of Albenga (SV) and consists of 17 hectares of land divided into various plots located along the Arroscia river, between Bastia and Ranzo. Since the early 900s the Giobatta “Aimone” Vio family, current owner, has produced and cultivated aromatic herbs, Taggiasca olives and grapes for the production of wine suitable for family consumption; the year 2000, then, marked the turning point for the company as Giobatta, in collaboration with his wife Chiara, decided to vinify and bottle all the grapes produced on his own. The cultivated varieties are the typical Ligurian ones of the Riviera di Ponente or Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Granaccia: in the vineyard the impact of chemical products has always been banned and the Icea Certified Organic regime is in force.
